Online Pyrotechnics

On June 17, the Frunzensky district court of St.-Petersburg satisfied the IIFD claim and obliged the Ministry for Industry and Trade to open free access via its official website to two license registers concerning pyrotechics.

Even regular tragic accidents with pyrotechnics at various holidays and parties did not motivate state officials to open access to information what pyrotechnics is licensed in Russia.

Enforcement of the court decision will provide one with online access to information on pyrotechnics he/she intends to purchase. Free access to the data in question will help to reduce sales volume of unlicensed, pirate pyrotechnics.

Publication of the license registers is a duty of the government body, however, not very thoroughly observed by its officials up to now. Nobody presented the ministry at the court hearings.
