The Supreme Court's new website

On June 18, the Supreme Court of Russian Federation launched the new version of its official website.

The new site is compliant to the new federal law On Providing Access to Information on Activities of Courts in Russian Federation coming into force on July 1, 2010 (later on, we will call it the Law on Access on Judicial Information).

One can see that the Supreme Court have been practically preparing to the enforcement of the new law: necessary legal basis is developed and approved, officials responsible for the new law observance are assigned, and the new website is launched. But only time will show whether this will lead to practical access to actual information on the Supreme Court’s activities, and how will the new law work.
