In Armenia, the Committee to Protect Freedom of Expression, supported by the Open Society Foundations – Armenia, for the first time monitored official governmental websites according to adapted methodology initially development by the IIFD. The monitoring results has called wide public interest and media response.

For years, the Federal Agency for Supplies of Arms, Military, Special Technique and Material Resources (Rosoboronpostavka) held the last position in the IIFD’s informational openness rating for federal executive government bodies, having no official website of its. At last, in early 2011, a link to the Rosoboronpostavka’s website appeared at the Russian Government’s official portal.
