LiveReport
What Live Report Is?
Live Report is a new detailed format for the Freedom of Information Foundation (FIF) to report on its general activities and on each specific project. All information on what happens within the organization appears in the Live Report every day and is open for anyone interested in it.
Instead of issuing in the beginning of each year a traditional paper report for the previous year, we offer a new approach: a live news feed where a reader can choose for display contents that is interesting for him or her. Anyone can learn today what happened yesterday!
| Live Report | Traditional Annual Report |
| Accumulates in real-time mode all information on the organization's activities from the very beginning till present | Discloses information for only one calendar year |
| Materials are available online 24/7 since their creation | Available only after publication of final version in the beginning of the year following the reporting year |
| A reader forms contents of the report by himself or herself, forming the Live Report feed by means of advanced search tools, based on the list of projects, using context search, and defining the reporting period that can be not only a calendar year | Contents defined by the organization |
| Allows to publish practically unlimited volume of data on each project including videos, audios, presentation, infographics, etc. | Information volume is limited by the published document length. Only text and illustrations can be included |
| Is maintained throughout a year. Any staff member can online add to the Live Report information on events and activities within a specific direction | Document is prepared, edited, and finalized within a limited time period (end of the reporting year and beginning of the following one). Participation of most staff members in the report preparation is limited |
How to Search
Today, information is sorted by major directions of the IIFD's activities:
- Research and Analysis
- Website Monitoring
- Legal Litigation
- Information and Education
- Administrative andFinancial
- IT
Each direction includes various projects; information in the Live Report on each project is updated online by our staff members.
Choose the Search tab on this page to create a list of materials/events by means of the proposed list of directions and projects (counting also event date) or by standard context search by key words or phrases.
We are always open to cooperation
The methodology developed by Freedom of information Foundation for monitoring official websites is applicable widely. It is convenient, efficient and can be used for research in various fields. We are interested in cooperation with different governmental and non-government entities in various countries in order to extend the monitoring practice, including possible joint comparative researches.
